ChIP-Seq analysis for transcription factors CREB and C/EBP beta in vasopressin-sensitive mpkCCD cells

Brief Method: Vasopressin signaling regulates transcription of several genes including water channel protein aquaporin-2 in the renal collecting duct. However, transcriptional regulation in downstream of vasopressin signaling is complicated due to the cell-type-specific expression and role of transcription factors and coregulators. We carried out ChIP-Seq for two b-ZIP transcription factors CREB (Gene symbol: Creb1) and C/EBP beta (Gene symbol: Cebpb) to identify genomic binding sites of these transcription factors in mouse cortical collecting duct cell line mpkCCD. CREB and C/EBP beta are known to be expressed in the renal collecting duct and regulated by vasopressin signaling (nuclear translocation and phosphorylation).
